Winter Weekend in Swedish Lapland

A winter weekend in Kiruna means the perfect way to spend a couple of wintry days! Good food and relaxation perfectly mixed with snow-filled activities. Living at Camp Ripan in Kiruna means being close to the wilderness in your own comfortable chalet where adventures await you just outside your chalet door. Here you shall find activities for the entire family. Follow your experienced guide out into the snow-clad landscape, visit the world famous Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi, be mesmerized by the colorful Northern Lights and enjoy unique gastronomical experiences in Camp Ripan’s well-reputed restaurant.

Thursday:
Arrival and transfer to Camp Ripan.

09:30-12:30 Forest by dogsled

The forest Tour by dogsled is the perfect way to experience our beautiful winter wonderland. Sitting on a big sled pulled by a team of exciteable yet friendly Alaskan Huskies the trail you’ll follow winds its way through pine and birch forest down to the famous Torne River. Half way through the tour you stop at a traditional Sami-style tipi (Lavvo) for a fresh brewed coffee and a popular Swedish snack. If luck is on your side, you may see reindeer on the trail or even spot a moose! This tour includes time to meet and pet the dogs if you wish to do so.

Saturday:
07:30-10:00 Breakfast in the restaurant.

One day for optional activities. The area surrounding Camp Ripan is a gigantic arena of experience. You can choose from a wide variety of activities; snowmobile safari, dog sledding, visits the church or maybe a tour to the mine. If you would like to do something else, you can rent skis or snowshoes and walk around the area of Camp Ripan. Let us know what you would prefer.

16:00-22:00 Entrance to Aurora Spa including the spa ritual Staevan. Each seating time is two hours.

20:00 2 courses dinner in the restaurant.

Sunday:
07:30-10:00 Breakfast in the restaurant.
Check out and transfer from Camp Ripan.

Transfer to and from Kiruna Airport/Kiruna Train Station, accommodation in a double or family chalet 3 nights, Forest tour by dogsled, one day entrance to Aurora Spa incl the spa ritual Staevan and half board.(Spa ritual Staevan included for adults only)

Package is available from the beginning of December to mid March with reservation for changes. It is possible to add extra nights and activities for additional cost.
